since installing 10.3.1 i have encountered difficulty with both usb and firewire connections to my minolta dimage 5400 scanner - usb or firewire ...

i have an epson 2200 printer as well with which i encounter no problems whatsoever ...

here's the issue ...

with the minolta scanner i cannot get my system to recognize the device at all when usb connected ... and although when connected via firewire the device shows under usb device tree but scanner software fails to recognize that it is connected ...

i've tried all the obvious - yes boys there IS gas in the tank!

anyone know of any bugs as such with 10.3.1???
