I just discovered that there's a graphing calculator in Panther. Looks like I was not the first; there's a hint about that at Mac OS X Hints already, but maybe it's interesting for others nevertheless. Here's how to activate it:

I think I'll wait until the full version is activated but I hope apple does it soon. This is one feature I miss from OS 9. My uncle used it a lot.

Don't wait! This is very easy to activate. You can do it on a copy of Calculator.

This info has been out about as long as Panther.

There's also an expression sheet and a hexadecimal calculator. They don't always work perfectly, though.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist 2.5.2. Macworld - five mice!

Yes, I noticed there was already a Mac OS X Hint about it. I just found it yesterday and thought it might be interesting for others nevertheless.

It explains maybe why they don't use the zoom window widget to switch between basic and advanced view. I wish they'd do anyway and just made the other views separate windows.

Hey, the Calcamajigger has more life in it than I gave it credit for.

Very oddly, I tried to do the change from the shell, and it didn't work. It wouldn't do the copy. Didn't complain or report any kind of error, just didn't do anything at all. Worked fine in the Finder...
