I do not want Apple's "Preview" to open
Acrobat files.

How do I get OSX.3 to use Adobe Acrobat
by default instead?

Thanks.

Get info on a pdf. Go to the "open with..." section. Choose Acrobat from the popup menu. Click "change all."

Final step: Do a search before you post. This same topic gets covered over and over again.

Be prepared to have it take 5x as long to open the PDFs, of course.

And for Reader to take over the WHOLE FREAKING SCREEN (maximized) when it launches.

WTF is with that app? In Panther, Preview rocks.

Agreed. Preview is king on Panther.

Yep. I ended up removing Acrobat Reader from my machines after this latest incarnation of Preview was avaialable. The startup speed and and rendering quality won me over. Acrobat Reader became a nuisance with its dismally slow startup.

I don't even have Acrobat Reader installed on my Machine. I only have Acrobat for things when I need it other than that it's Preview for all my PDFs.
