problems installing software

I have some problems installing some software. this happened the first time. When i want to install it it says i dont have enough privileges to install the software. I know ... log in as admin .. but the problem is, that i only have one user and the user is admin .. what can i do? Usualy it asks me for admin password when installing software but this software didnt.

what can i do?

Try running disk utility to check permissions..? That might help....
