I hope this guy isn't serious...let the Apple death drumbeats begin (again) because of the Mac mini.

I think that's a joke

I realise some people have been saying this will kill Apple though. Personally I think the biggest problem they're going to have with Mac mini's is making them fast enough to meet demand. If for some reason the mini does flop though, I really don't see why it would kill Apple. They've just posted their biggest revenues and profits from one quarter in their history, and they didn't sell a single mini last quarter. I realise they'd loose some money if the mini flops, but I don't see it bankrupting them.

While I realize the link is a joke I still have to add my two cents.

Kill Apple? Uh no. Apple is not struggling to make ends meet. They aren't going to go under while the iPod is a raging success, either. However, there's always the chance that the Mac mini will be a failure. It just means the product will be discontinued and Apple will sell more iPods instead.

Those are the most stupid arguments i've ever read. The Mac Mini is clearly aimed at PC users. Most PC users I know never buy a new monitor, and have bougt at least 2 to 3 PCs untill they changed monitor (and mostly only when the screen just dies) and hell, i've never seen them change keyboards. And so what if they buy a logitech Mouse, I even have one. Apple mice suck.

The best points in the article, Apple is DOOMED DOOMED I TELL U

6. iPod owners won't buy it once they discover that the Mac mini lacks a click-wheel.

7. Windows users will never get used to the menu being at the top of the screen instead of at the top of each window.

9. Following another Austin Powers trip through time to trademark "mini" before the mini skirt is invented, Mike Meyers sues Apple out of business over the iPod mini and Mac mini.

10. Ditto for BMW, who also sues over product name confusion. (cue the Austin mini)

15. Flower Power iMac owners won't buy the Mac mini because it isn't pretty enough. (haha)

17. Windows users will turn their backs on Mac OS X because there just isn't as much of that free software that installs spyware on their computers. And there aren't enough viruses, either. Or email worms. Or spambots.

.. and my favorite!:

20. And last, but far from least, the stupid little thing still doesn't have a floppy drive!

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

A good read to bring on a smile. Pundits always try to downgrade Apple to their peril.
