Canada (Toronto).
That's esp. irritating since it's filmed in Canada.

OK. I finally was able to watch the first two on You Tube.
I think they're definitely worth watching.

Ok anyone else notice how much this occupation story in the webcasts is EXACTLY like Deep Space 9's 4th season which was also by Ronald D. Moore?

I haven't watched the webcast, but my wife and I have been watching DS9 from start to finish on DVDs, and I have noticed some paralells in motifs and plots from when Moore joined the series.

Anyone have a YouTube link for today's Webisode? I can't find it.
How are they downloading the Webisodes anyway, to upload there?

They are extremely similar and I think BSG is what Moore wanted to do with DS9 but the studio wouldn't let him make Star Trek with its good image go that dark.
Anywho, think about DS9's:
1) Viris that can destroy the enemy and cause genocide.
2) The underground movement
3) The "good guys" becoming part of the "bad guys" task force
4) The religious foresight and non-liniar time
5) Leaving the main ship for a season
6) The multiple occupations
7) The previous war with the cardasians that has now returned.
I could go on and on.
I just hope this season of BSG doesn't make me feel like I have seen it all already.

I know. I have that feeling too, a bit. While I don't think it will make BSG any lesser, I truly forgot how good DS9 is--it's become my favorite Trek (not to derail this thread).

I was wondering the same thing. scifi.com no longer directs to the webisode page and takes me directly to scifi's mainpage.

Youtube links please!
(So I can watch them right away when I get back from work today.)
DS9 was dark. Would have been interesting if it had gone completely dark. mmmmm.... dark sci-fi drama.

1) The webisodes won't play in some (all?) places outside the US.
2) The first two webisodes are already on YouTube.

SciFi.com is truly out to lunch on this one.
tnerroT tiB it is then
... and the Tyranny of Digital Distance
Clearly, NBC Universal has elected to try and generate fan interest in BSG's third season premiere, but have decided to limit the webisodes to that segment of the internet nominally American (and only US, not Canadian, as pointed out by D'Arcy Norman). To some extent, this might appear to make sense to the studio executives financing BSG, since the release dates for season three will be later in other countries.
They don’t seem to notice that the very large and thriving fan communities that built up around Battlestar (and similar shows) are global in nature. There may be arcane big media arrangements that mean the third season will debut later in the UK and later again (if ever!) in Australia, but the buzz about BSG, the communities which actively discuss and to some extent participate in the show (a sense heightened by Ron Moore's podcasts) and thus the interest, is spread further than the national boundaries of the US (or the ISPs located therein).
By barring large segments of the BSG fan communities from seeing the webisodes is tantamount to a slap in the face to the very loyal fans in other countries who not only watch the series, but buy the DVDs, comics, soundtracks, and other offshoots from the BSG franchise.
As one Canadian put it: " They can film it in Canada, but they won't let us see it."

Got the BSG 2.5 DVDs. This is the description on the back:
Pretty much the only real new thing here is the Pegasus extended episode.
Speaking of 2.5... Only 2.5 more weeks until Season 3 starts.

That is pretty much worth it on its own as I think it is the best episode of the series.
