Signing the paper was interesting, to say the least. For one thing, Baltar-Six was acting very strange: the way she talked seemed to indicate that she was hoping that Baltar would be able to fight the Cylons later. But why would Baltar-Six, of all people, want Baltar to be able to fight the Cylons?

Apparently at least some of this season's episodes are going to cover more of what happened during the timeskip. I look forward to seeing this.

What do the Cylons mean by "To see the face of god is to know madness"?

Do they mean the revelation is so shocking it will drive you bonkers?

Or do they mean God is bonkers himself... kinda like Baltar?

Probably because they're drawing from Christian Theology. Humans aren't supposed to handle being able to see god or hear god.

Actually it's older than Christian theology. For example Hindus believe in such a concept .

Listening to the Podcast you learn that the cast and crew all hate the colonial 1 set as it has low ceilings and is too small, everyone on production begs him to nuke the ship so they can be done with it.

I hope not as that is one of my favorites as it feels like a 747 and real.

New character coming in episode 7: Bulldog

P.S. It's disappointing to note that the season 2.5 DVD's video quality sucks just as bad as the others. Surely they can do better, considering the series is shot in HD.

I thought 2.5 was a bit better than 1 but of course next to HD it is ass.

Yeah, that was easy to catch. The Sharon and Helo marriage was introduced really subtlety.

Unless there's another obvious scene I missed.

I wonder if there was an actual marriage ceremony or if they just consider themselves married.

From the reference I would guess it's an actual legal marriage (Assuming you're referring to Helo and Sharon).

Yes, but I wonder when exactly it would have been allowed to go forth. While she was still in a cell? Pretty weird for Helo to ask her hand in marriage while on the other end of the phone.

Hmmm. Probably, but I'll bet most of the crew didn't RSVP. Besides, whoever was Sharon "Boomer" Valeri (thereafter Agathon)'s wedding coordinator probably thought her choice of decorations was a little "sterile."

But hey, look on the bright side — at least all the wedding guests received a toaster as a party favor.

The marriage is official. We find out about it during Sharon's swearing in. Adama calls her Sharon Agathon first, in a ceremony that he'd want to be as official as it gets.

It's amazing, but they really have managed to make the two Cylon female-Human male love affairs feel entirely plausible from an emotional point of view. What I live in dread of is what will happen when Helo and Sharon inevitably learn that their baby is not dead but living in seclusion somewhere in the fleet. Will they be overjoyed? Angry? Both? What will they do?

I wonder if there is a built in ability for a Cylon to detect another Cylon? Almost like a 6th sense or some such. If so, can the Cylons detect Hera?

I listened to the podcast last night and RDM seems to say that Starbucks kid is actually hers and that she thinks the injury on the kid is also faked but then gets over it when she is in hospital worrying over her.

Oddly enough, I don't think so. There are only 12 models of Agents, and they all know what the models look like, so there probably hasn't ever really been a reason to create one. This would also explain why they haven't found Hera/Isis yet.

When and if they learn about this, however, odds are they'll be kicking themselves for not coming up with a detector.

Another question, though: she may really be Starbuck's kid, but is she really Leoben's?

It's already been stated that the Cylons don't copy people; there was never a real human on whom the Agents were modeled. But they must have some kind of cloning technology, since they can produce so many Agent bodies. Perhaps the kid is a clone of Starbuck, produced by the Cylons but completely human?

Ok since Sharon is all buddy buddy with Adama and the crew now why hasn't she told them who the remaining 8 Cylon agents in the fleet are.

Also have you noticed how the only humanoid Cylons that are walking around publicly are the models they know have been revealed? That partly makes sense as they don't want to give away hidden ones but every-time they show secret cylon meetings on another planet the only ones that attend are the ones we know of. Same goes when they nuked the resurrection ship and photographed it, it seemed to be all 6's.

in one of the pans around colonial one with everybody (baltar signing?), there was a black guy among the cylons. When was he revealed, or even seen before?

Baltar didn't tell anyone that Sharon told him how many Agents were in the fleet. Adama hasn't asked her because he doesn't have any idea that she would be in a position to know that.

How in the world would a non-sleeper Cylon NOT know at the very least what the remaining ones looked like.

Adama hasn't even tried and there could very well still be some on the battlestar.

Assuming, of course, that the person we saw there was supposed to be Simon. I need to look through that episode again, but if my memory's right, the only black character I saw in the background was female, and she looked suspiciously similar to Roslin's new assistant. She also looked like Maya to me, but in retrospect I think that may have just been a side effect of the lighting.

Does anyone have any shots of the cafe scene? That's where I recall seeing this person, and I'd really like to take a better look.

With a new episode coming tonight, I'm going to make a guess here. Laura and Zarek don't get shot - but that's not the guess. Since we hear shooting (presumably from the Centurions) they had to be shooting at something/someone else. Something that appeared right after Cally made her exit. So who or what showed up to engage the Centurions?

It could be Boomer, with a stolen heavy Raider. But that is Sharon's trick; we have seen no evidence that Boomer has any Raider hijack skills.

It could be Gaita arranging something, since we didn't see what he did after watching the trucks leave. Same for the Colonel. But both of them have a basic problem: Humans don't have much access to weapons, vehicles, or equipment. So it's hard to see how they could organize a party, catch up with the trucks, and do it quickly enough to matter.

My guess is Caprica Six. The timing is about right for her to reappear. They were threatening her Baltar, and a Dorel put a bullet in her head to shut her up. If Caprica Six is anything like Imaginary Six, she doesn't take being pushed around. Dorel is going to pay. Since Doral wanted the death warrant signed, the payment will start with that operation turning into a failure.

I think it's much more plausible that the shooting you hear when Cally's running away is the nearby Centurion who snuck up on Galactica Sharon and the 'insurgents' she met up with. The racket will distract the other cylons and Centurions in the shooting gallery momentarily, and the crowd will disperse.

Either that, or the Raptor taking off will attract the attention of the Centurions.

I watched last week's episode again last night and the shots fired at the very end of the episode (supposedly at those consigned to death) sounded different from the shots fired at Sharon & Co. at the insurgent meeting in the woods.

Now the single Centurian was black and the death squad ones were silver so it's quite possible they have different guns/ammo, which would mean different sounds when firing. So, I'm back to the silver death squad centurians did fire, but at what? I don't think the ex-prez and Zarek would be removed from the show now since play pivotal roles on the show.

What if Caprica Sharon changed the orders on the cylons to kill the police force instead and free the detainees?

Or perhaps the gunshots were Zarecs posse knowing something was up and rescuing them.

OR perhaps the police force changed their mind and decided to shoot the Cylons to rescue the humans.

I thought it was unusual to kill off Zarek so quickly as he's one of the guys I expected to have a prominant role in the insurgency. Instead we never really saw him until right before he gets executed, becoming instantly sympathetic (admitting they were right to try and fix the election).

Anyway we'll find out soon enough what happened. I don't think anyone thinks they were killed. It's too big a deal to not show on camera.

Well they made it a cliffhanger so IF they do get killed it would be at the start of tonight's episode.

But then again they do show the prez in the trailers for the rest of the season and no way they would kill her like that anyway.

Everyone knows they survive, the question is how.

The new season premiered last week. Looking at Yahoo TV, though, it looks like Bravo is rerunning the season premier. Odd.

it could be really simple. One of those "Hi! My Name Is ______________" nametags with Cylon #11 filled in. You could have it be an irregular octagon though, since all their paper is octagon shaped.

Oooh, and have a red LED on your back.
