Hey,
I went to the Apple store grand opening today, in Kansas City, on the Country Club Plaza. I got one of the 1,000 t-shirts they gave away. If you want to buy it from me, I put it on ebay. Check it out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3932439965
Later,
Keegan

I was at the San Francisco's 2nd Store grand opening. I have a t shirt from them too. same box, same design. I didnt break the seal on it. I doubt I'd wear the t shirt, since i wear a lot of t shirts, but none with a graphic design on it. I think when i build my new desk, and park my ipod, powerbook, and pc gaming rig ... i'm going to settle the t shirt box right next to the ipod box =P I dont think I'll ever open that box .. sorta like a time capsule

I was away for the opening of the SoHo store, but I did get one of the iPod shirts when they launched the 3G.

Saw someone yesterday wearing their shirt from the Kansas City store opening.
Ho hum. I guess I was expecting a little more. Words are small. As is Apple logo. Can't see why anyone would buy one of these from ebay.

I visited the new Plaza store with my son and daughter. Must say it was fantastic being there and finally having one in Kansas City is just awesome.
The store was very busy. It's grand opening coincided with the annual Plaza Art Fair which attracts thousands of people from many states. The workers in the store said business was brisk. The line formed at midnight awaiting the 10 am opening. They gave away 1000 shirts.
After we left, my son mentioned that he was expecting more splashy video on the walls, etc. using the iPod silhouette characters you see in the commercials. The store is very serene.
He could have a point there. Apple has great commercials that have placed them strongly into the cool factor awareness mode. Using some more of the imagery that people recognize from TV might not be a bad idea.
The store however is a fantastic thing. It was really fun to see only macs of every make and model with people having fun using them all. Almost every age group could be found looking through the store and everyone seemed happy.
This store was long overdue in KC and it should prosper at the Plaza location.
