I have a 2004 Grand Am that I park outside. I park it near a tree with spiders and they've made it inside my car. I know it's got poor sealing because it's a GM - I never leave the windows open, but tend to find dew on the dashboard on most mornings. Sometimes I even get a small web on the front window. So these spiders got through to my interior....probably the moonroof.

I saw 2 of them when I got in the car today. They're big - about 1/2" bodied wolf spiders with some red spots on them. They were on the center console, then quickly went up into the dashboard, behind the radio area. So how do I get rid of them? I was thinking fumigation in the garage but I don't have any experience with that and I think it may be too extreme. Ideas?

run the car for a few minutes and heat them out. fumigate if necessary, or if you have a steamer — turn it on and steam them out if you don't want bug spray smell.

or perhaps, car wash that mofo and see if it gets them out

then don't park there anymore unless you suddenly learn to like spiders

If they're not dangerous, don't worry about them.

I had a mosquito in my car for a while. After two 12- and 8-hour drives, I sure wish I had spiders in there.

They eat mosquitos.

You own a Grand Am? Expect hardship.
Do you want forgiveness or respect?

Tell me about it. Thank God it's only a lease - my side mirrors keep falling off due to poor design. They broke off once at a carwash, got them fixed, then I had it at the dealership and a service guy ran his hip into one and it broke off again. I got leaks in the sealant, shitty brakes, and fuses that love to be replaced. Grand Am = Sh1t box.

MoS: I blame your ex-sig
LOL. You saying the spiders came from a 'you know what' in my car? I'll call the GF.
