The Shanghai track seems to be very interesting. Too bad Schumacher made a mistake in qualifying yesterday.

Nevertheless I'm very thrilled to see the race now.

Shows that MS is human

I want Button to finish on the podium and Sato to run a clean race without blowing the engine up and maybe get a couple of points. If they (BAR Honda) add onto their lead over Renault, I will be a happy man.

Schumacher should just chill the next 2 races to see what it's like without him dominating the track. Then as a nice end to the F1 season, drive a damn good race in the finale at Brazil.

More pictures at the architect's web site:

http://www.tilke.com/ -> Architecture -> Racetracks -> Shanghai -> actual project status

Interesting tidbit: The whole track is built on styrofoam!

Cool race. Congratulations to Rubens!

It looks like Schumacher will have problems to call this his favourite track after todays race. And Ralfi refused to continue to drive because "it's pointless with 2 laps behind". What a loser!

Was that the official comment after he just pulled in? Very unsportsmanlike and very typical of Ralf... almost as bad as his teammate whinging about the quality of the cars.

Mario Theissen: Ralf came in without warning after collision with Coulthard. Team was waiting for Juan Pablo so therefore they pushed Ralf to the side. After Juan Pablo the team found that Ralf had a puncture but he already had left the car and refused to continue to drive.
Ralf said in the interview because "it's pointless to drive with 2 laps behind".

Didn't you hear about the Ralfi interview?

He basically said the Williams was crap all the time.

I think MS is using these last races as test runs for the next season. He uses new tires and stuff to be ahead of the other teams next year.

Does anybody know the story of why Barrichello does his pretending to trip over thing when he's on the podium? Martin Brundle said on the ITV commentary that it was something that happened back in the days when he was racing Brazilian Formula Ford cars.

Look after my manor, or I will bum you, literally, to death.

Except for the very bumpy hairpins; that would be pretty darn unnerving at the speeds they were going...

Oh yeah, were the plastic bags floating across the track an added feature? Nothing like blowing an engine because of instant asphyxiation at 300 km/h...

The Franks (Williams and Dernie) were rather upset with Ralf's antics and now theres a rumor that Ralf might be replaced at Suzuka by Pizzonia!
