yeah i know I said sex wax, but it's only the name of that stuff you put on surf boards. Perverts can leave this thread now.

Ok I had that sex wax in my bag in my car who stayed the whole afternoon in the sun. the damn wax melted, transpired through the bag and went on to my passenger car seat (cloth, not leather). how can I get rid of it? Does not seem like warm water and soap help in this case.
Any cool surfer dude who could help me here?

To remove wax from carpeting you should first scrape away any excess. Using a warm iron and a clean cloth or a brown paper bag. Place the iron on top of the cloth, over the wax and, as you iron, it will adhere to the cloth instead of the carpet. Continue moving the cloth around as you pick up the wax so you are always using a clean section of cloth. If a little grease stain remains, sprinkle on baking soda and let sit overnight before vacuuming.

I assume this same trick should work on cloth upholstery.

The sun will melt most wax off of the board, and if you are in the atlantic, then water should be abrasive enough that with a little sand the rest should also come off... hope that helped.

Go to your local surf shop and buy some Sticky Bumps wax remover. It takes surf wax, decals etc. off anything. Smells good too.

Its a known fact that geeks have compensated for their lack of masculinity by naming technology with secually oriented names.

SexWax is just a brand. Sex = Good. SexWax = the Sex of Waxes, must be good.

The iron method sounds good. Use a towel not a bag though. I've never had Sexwax melt like that on me. I almost always use Stickybumps anyway. Maybe it doesn't melt as easily. Good luck.
