So I have one of these:
Except he has 2 left arms. Back when these action figures first came out, I wanted to buy them all (never did find Cochran). I saw this one on the shelf, was gonna get it 'cause I needed a LaForge, then almost put it back because of the defect. But I decided it would be interesting to have a one of a kind (or two, perhaps, since one might have two rights). I never opened it.
My question is, would Trekkies be interested in this? Would it sell at a Trek convention? You can still buy these online for like $5, so the item itself isn't interesting.
Just wondering.

Most errors wind up being more valuable than original since they are more rare. I couldn't tell you what Star Trek figures go for, but in any case it should be more than you could buy a normal one for.

8 years ago you would have been rich, Star Trek memorabilia value has dropped sharply.

I had an Enterprise E toy that was released around the time of First Contact. There were quite a few design inaccuracies, including the facts that on the toy the shuttle bay was the impulse drive and the deflector dish was red.
I sold it a few years later and recently came to hear that the model became quite valuable because it was pulled from sale after the design inaccuracies were discovered.
Damn me.

You'd be quite a nerd in the first place to notice them though.

I mean any star trek figures 8 years ago had high value, some even went for $500.

I blame Enterprise and Voyager for killing the value of everything with the Star Trek name on it.

Yeah, I know what you meant. I was just saying that my opportunity to hit that market was over before it even started 'cause these didn't even come out until after that.

Voyager I'd agree with; but Enterprise hasn't been given a fair chance yet. The first two seasons of TNG sucked, too, ya know. The 3rd season of Enterprise was great, and even with the budget cuts, the 4th looks like it'll be all right (from what I've heard of the overall direction the story will take).

An we're not all such trek nerds that people stay outside a 10' radious when we go outside (something trekkies dont do, ironically).
Although all that time travel crap did get annoying.

With those figures they were never worth much but some of the 6" TNG ones were worth a fortune.

Looking back I can see why action figures based on ONE movie would be pretty much worthless. Oh well, I thought they were cool at the time.

Na I have most of those figures also, hold onto it, it might be worth something again if star trek picks up.
Trust me, I have over 200 star trek figures.
