I'm shocked that you would say that. I can't imagine that you would have a problem with a show like Will and Grace or that you would think it odd for a man to watch it.

Nice signature by the way?

towards the beginning of our owner/appliance relationship, TiVo thought i was a gay mexican cowboy heavily into sci-fi and b-porn.

i find yelling "bad tivo!" and paddling it generally helps matters.

my question would naturally be, what b-porn were you watching that made TiVo think you were a cowboy?

hilarious. a serious thread turns into nonsense ...

oh and for the record ... i think that new imac looks great ... i wonder if it'll come in other colors besides that flowery pattern ... a "rubyish" or "snow" colored imac would be great ... oh ... and .. if one day they integrated a lcd ... all the better!

Do you think it functions as a good desktop? I am a bit concerned about the memory. Starts at 256mb... kinda low. I would be running director, Flash, Final Cut pro.... etc... all the necessary programs for my graphics classes. Also what about the graphics card?

Saw a new 23" LCD last ween on CSI NY! Pretty sweet looking... Would love to hook it up to my PB.

So upgrade the memory to something more reasonable. And the graphics card has zilch impact on any of the programs you're mentioning. Go and knock yourself out

neither did I. They don't show it here at all anymore. We get a few US tv shows; ER, CSI, CSI Miami, Without A Trace, Simple Life, Cold Case, The Practice, Crossing Jordan, My Wife and Kids.

now TiVo thinks I'm gay
Funny TiVo story. Rebecca Romjin said she and John Stamos (then married) were having a Super Bowl party back in January. Picture a sh!tload of people gathered around the giant screen... They're watching in real-time, of course. Suddenly the top of the hour hits and TiVo pops up a message saying it needs to change the channel to record "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."

It was apparently John's Season Pass which caused the request.

Obviously he caught a lot of slack for the rest of the party.

Hey, "Buffy" was an awesome show, there's nothing on now that even comes close. Hell, if it weren't for Smallville and football, I wouldn't even watch TV.

Jack and his assistant had Cinema Displays with wireless keyboards and mice. Will had a Ti Powerbook with the Apple Logo covered with a big white sticky (I hate when they do that). I didn't notice any iMacs, but I could have missed them.
