Should advertisers pay for "News Programs" that are opinion programs?
Are the networks at fault for labeling them as such?
Can advertisers get their money back??
Would a few big advertisers getting their bucks back have any effect?
inquiring minds and all.......

Yes, But if YOUR company bought something, and it turned out to NOT be as advertised, like paying for a Boxing match, and getting Pro Wrestling instead, would you try to get your bucks back?

Advertisers know what they're buying beforehand. Besides, other than avoiding or promoting association with the content of the show, they just want numbers -- how expensive is a viewer of that show? Advertisers like to strike a balance between CPM (cost per thousand) and raw numbers of viewers ("impressions").

P.S. Read "How to Watch TV News" by Neil Postman and Steve Powers.
P.P.S. It's "gypped". (Yes, there is a verb "to gyp".)

Yes, it's from the word "gypsy" which is why some people (not me) find it to be mildly offensive.

Heh, I was going to mention that. I took Cultural Awareness training and was told that too.

Saying someone was "Jypped" is exactly the same as calling someone a "Jew" in a negative context (e.g. being stingy, stubborn, or shortchanged.)
