Have the profits shrunk due to expensees from the retail stores, or is it something else? Educate me if I'm oversimplifying, please.

Apple is strong in their market. I and many other have said that for apple to expand market share they need to do the following.

Release a CHEAP entry model mac or at least a cheap powerful Mac you can buy without a Monitor.
Something in the +-$800.00 range.

combo drive eMac is $750 with the edu discount.
