I'm going on a flight for about three hours soon. I could take any of the following, but would prefer to take as little as possible:

1. PowerBook G4 (12")
2. Portable DVD player
3. Gameboy (with no new games, just old ones)
4. A plain old book.

What should I take to kill time? The DVD player is smaller, will guarantee me enough battery life for a movie - but doesn't offer as many options as the G4 would. With the G4, I could take Myst and Railroad Tycoon 3.

Any suggestions to pass the time? I really hate flying.

three hour flight!!! bahahaha!!! thats nothing... bring a book and your G4 and call it good, watch a movie on your PB or play games, and if the battery dies, go take a long rest in the toilet ( there is a normal 110V socket in there) and charg the sucker up... but it might look weird bringing it in there...

Read a good non-fiction book.
At the end of the day you gain nothing from playing video games or watching movies.

Depending on which airline you are on...this could very well be your best option.

I always get stuck on the planes with the male attendants. I don't think I'll be hitting on them.

I'm leaning toward the PowerBook with the paper book for takeoff and landing.

I hate flying - you spend an extra hour in the airport before you even leave. Of course, two days by car is not much fun either, I'd rather fly.

Oh well. Thanks for the advice.

Dunno, bring a book and/or some music it isn't a really long flight. Can't you decide for yourself?
