I felt kind of dirty at first about it, but it looks like I made a decent choice. I really wanted it for all the higher-res videos and interviews on games, and, of course, to be fully prepared for next year's E3.

Anyway, after browsing around for a few minutes, it doesn't look too shabby. It was only $19.95, and they gave me two free magazine subscriptions (Electronic Gaming Monthly and Computer Gamer), so it's not a bad deal, I'd say.

So that's all. I open myself up to internet forum ridicule for being a nerd. Bring it, bitches.

I'll share the goods, don't worry. Hush, hush.

I've actually never seen Hackers. What reference am I missing? Enlighten me.

Giving the ol' political sigs a break for a few weeks. I'll probably just rub it in after November 2nd when we get our new legitimate President.

Yeah, you can get rid of most of the ads in your account prefs, though they put a little reminder to consider keeping them on since it's how they make a lot of their money. Anyway, I turned them mofos off.

Well, that's cool. I'll check it out. I didn't know it was a Mac movie. The characters Mac nerds in the movie, or what?

Ya that price isn't bad if they throw in the mags. How often do you get the mag and for how long?

They're full one-year subscriptions to those mags, on top of the year subscription to IGN itself. Not too shabby, indeed. I don't know how long the offer is going on, though.

Downloading two-hour-long DS presentation now....

its not really a mac movie, but all the "hackers" use macs. its pretty funny. it was made in like '95 with all the crappy computers and they have like all this magical super hacking looking stuff. its worth a chuckle or two. plus, its got angelina jolie in it. she gets wet too. and her top comes off.

By the way, Mario 64 DS and Metroid Prime Hunters look really, really good in motion. And any concerns about the stylus control have been cleared up. It looked completely fluid and comfortable—it was like the guy was using a damn keyboard and mouse, and he said as much. Damn, I can't wait for it now. You gotta see it in motion and watch someone play it.

Why? So is the lower screen just used as an "innovative" map?

Is this the lame movie with rollerblades and hacking the Gibson (WTF is that)

What was the movie with Robert Redford (SP?) that had the hacking theme?

I've had an IGN account for about 2 years now. I think it's worth it. I love all the hi-res movies they have. I also really like the video reviews they do for big releases. It really is better than reading a review. It gives you a great feel for the game.

It's worth the $1.67 a month.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

the video reviews are worth the yearly fee. and the fact that you can get them as an .mov instead of windows media is very cool too.

i was thinking yesterday that they must have some serious bandwidth usage. i downloaded about 700mb from them yesterday.
