Lol, I admit it, it was in bad taste. But if you ever did watch Batman, it's understandable.
Not much else to say about it though, interesting, there's a story behind it....it doesn't seem to be caving into social pressures, but a personal "I want to help raise awareness" thing. I guess there would be more to say if this were many years ago, it would be more controvercial, now it's just part of yet another comicbook character's.....origins/history.

The writer's actually pretty good and he did win some awards for his work related to his former MTV Real World roomie kicking the bucket due to Aids.
In the long run, I fear it's just another gimmick to draw readers, like the gay Marvel character or the gay Flash villain of recent years.
But the sidekick name Speedy seems cursed as the original had a nice, little smack addiction. I still remember the comic that had Speedy shooting up on the cover with Green Arrow busting in the door on him.

I'm sorry, I don't understand why people are freaking out over this. Zimp, why stop reading 3 paragraphs in and then ask a question that is answered in the 4th paragraph? dcolton, what is keeping you from responding, yet you responded enough to tell us that?
