so yeah, anybody had this most wonderful illness? I seem to think I do... I have no idea how I got it... but it's been 4 days now... I was only nauseous and had a headache the first day. I hope I only have to endure it for another week... I hope less... but the usual is two.

any pointers, experiences, solutions?

That's nasty - I had it about 10 years ago, and I managed to lose 10 kgs in 1 month

And of course running to the loo all the time wasn't exactly my idea of fun... My doctor put me on a heavy penicillin injection cure...

Did you drink untreated water while camping? If not, perhaps you have something else.
I've never had it, but a friend of mine did and it can be very hard to get rid of. Tends to recede and return. You're seeing a doctor, right?
I hope you feel better soon. Try to stay hydrated.
