I'd avoid Shinco.

I bought one of their multi-region DVD players in 1999 for about £150 (v. cheap back then.)

It was impressive - it played MP3 CDs - - but the DVD audio was about 1/4 seconds out of synch on every DVD!
You know it makes sense. ☼ ☼ ☼ Growl.

Hypothetical question: can you conceive of any non-Apple music player being as good as, or better than, the iPod? If so, what would it look like?

If someone tries to sell me one, I'd say "Shove it!"

Kidding aside. I am still waiting for the reaction of the creator of Itty Bitty Stevie.
