$260 million but they can't get a parachute to deploy right...and they wonder why some people would rather use the money to combat child poverty.

Stupid govies.
That's a pretty dumb mistake.
"Hey Bill, did you notice we put had the sensors upside-down when we designed it?"
"Nope."
"Yep."

Incompetancy of that degree doesn't sound right given the general intelligence of the people who work on this stuff.

And this has what relevance to the subject at hand, while you're obviously being overpaid for what you don't produce?

Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

Oh bloody hell, the thread was already pseudo-derailed with Kilbey's post, you didn't have to exacerbate it by actually replying.

None. I was just stating the obvious.
See now, you're showing your ignorance again. I don't produce anything. I am a Machine Repairman. If I am working, GM is losing money. If I am working, that means a machine that makes car parts is broken and I am repairing it. If I am not working, then GM is making car parts and they are making money.
Lastly, I am not overpaid. I am paid "what the market will bear". Which means, if GM saw fit that I cost to much for their return on investment, then they would no longer employ me.
I sense jealousy.

You're right, this thread was already derailed before KarG's post, but it was was derailed when the title didn't match the content.
Actually, I was kind of on topic because I offered a similarly connected phrase like SWG did.

I guess this is sorta like the time when the Mars probe crashed because one person was working in metric and the other was not.

NASA makes the most retarded errors. I don't even know why they publish the errors. It just adds to the public dislike for the programs and all the money that goes into it. They should just say that it got hit by a space rock or some **** like that, that way it at least looks like chance and not incompetence.

Unless the supposed incompetancy is the cover story.

:/ it wasn't entirely NASA's fault for the screw up, since they did everything correctly, its Lockheed's for screwing up.
