New iBooks are coming, so when do you think Powerbooks will be out?

no new ibook for me unless its a G5 which will be a long time...would be cool to see some updates though.

New iBook is likely. It's been a long time. No new powerbook for a good while though. It will most likely be a G5 when updated.

I predict Apple will release new hardware at some point in the future. It will be faster than the hardware it replaces. In some cases, it will also be less expensive.

Wow. I'm amazing.

Tomorrow is exactly 6 months since the last iBook update (April 19 - October 19). I wouldn't say it has been a long time, I would say it is right ON time.

in other cases it will more expensive, and yet in others, the price will remain the same.

Not really a long time. Just 6 months. The last iBook update was April 19.

No new powerbook for a good while though.
Perhaps, but it should be noted that the last PowerBook update was also April 19.

It will most likely be a G5 when updated.
I suspect it will be another G4 when it gets updated.

I'd like a black iBook, but that wouldn't fit the rest of the product line. Ah well. Hopefully they don't bring back the stinkin' colors again.

Well, if you read macrumors ... Apple may also be releasing a single processor G5 tower spec'd out like a 17" Superdrive iMac ... for $1499 ($500 off the cheapest PM). Perhaps they have finally heard that some people would really, really like a low (er) cost upgradable option in the desktop realm. It's no bargain compared to the $1499 iMac, but at least it should be upgradeable and can be used with different monitors. $1499 + Apple LCD = still really expensive. $1499 + big, high-end CRT =
