a php file you need to put into a folder full of images, and then make your signature that php file.

In PHP, you can output images just the same as HTML. So to rotate images, you just select a random image from a directory and display it. Or if it's actually rotating in order, then you just keep track of which one was last selected and then pick the next one.

My sig is also a PHP script except I build the image from scratch just using text. There's another thread around here where someone is using ImageMagick to pick a random crop of an image. You can do some pretty cool stuff with server side scripting and image manipulation libraries.
