I prefer Ticks and Leeches over Lateralus(the song), but Aenima is another great album. Heck, what am I saying? All of tool's albums are great, including their future one...

... speculated to be released in a few months.

I have a hard time picking a song off of Lateralus that I don't like. But at the moment, my favorites are probably The Patient, The Grudge and Triad.

Since it counts, +1/

Ticks & Leeches is great, but the entire album rocks, as does all of Tool's stuff. Every catch the live take on Sublime? Good stuff.
One of the best drives I ever had was on my first holiday to Australia. Was driving from Melbourne to Sydney on tuned into Triple J the entire ride as it was Tool day, nothing but Tool.

He should have changed his name to "Hooker With A Penis".
If I had a signature, it would be better than yours.

Cool name, incredible album too.

"Schism", "The Grudge", and "Parabol/Parabola" are my favs on it.

I burned out on Parabol/Parabola, but I still appreciate what it is. Schism I am actually just now starting love. It had never been one of my favorites.

And just out of curiosity: Did you create your signature?

So, the "no threads about members rule" once again doesn't apply to mods ? I love double-standards...

did you even read the thread? this isn't exactly about another member, now is it?

and why would a mod have their thread locked unless the +1 crew get in here?

Duh ! I DID read the thread, that's why I did not say "ANOTHER" member !

If I started a thread about myself, it would get locked as well ! There are dozens of examples in the Lounge.

Why can't threads started by a mod about themselves not be subjective to the same rules as anyone else? It's not written anywhere, is it? +1 is not official, is it?

Geez, it's actually funny/sad how people get worked up over the silliest thing. I like the new name a whole nuch more than the older, clunky one.
But there's no reason this thread can't be locked and it should after a spell, or do some of you advocate making it a sticky, simply because it involved a moderator?

Created it from the much larger Lateralus graphic. It's definitely my favorite of all the ones I've made.

I remember listening to Lateralus for the first time, hadn't really listened to very much tool before then, and being completely floored. Being an occultist myself (for almost 20 years), the words hit me like lightning. Also, was a bit stunned, because some of the things he says in that album haven't been publically spoken in a very, very long time... but nothing prepared me for the live show. I remember thinking, "can he actually be doing this, in front of 20K+ people?"

Maynard really knows how to "push the envelope".

who said anything about a lock though? why not just let this thread run its course? imo turtle was pretty rude to drop the IBL in on a mod who was just trying to keep people up to speed. thats all. let him have his moment.

and i like the new name, PMM.

You misunderstand me. I agree, but if this thread starts to wander (as Luca's inane post demonstrated), then my feeling is that this thread should be locked just as any other one that's jumped the tracks is eligible for the l-word.

Uhm, why is my question or "IBL" rude ?
I did not use any rude emoticons, no swear words, nothing. Just a question.

Gosh, sometimes I feel like I'm dealing with 10 year old girls here, who start crying for no reason just because someone said something they don't like...

Ok, fair enough. Why not do it like gorickey / MOS. Use the sig !
And btw, he is NOT a mod in the Lounge. I could understand a posting in the forum that he is a mod in, but here, he is like anyone else.

He is a mod here
sort of he still gets special mod rules such as custom avatar and changing posts he just can't lock threads.
