PS: As for being above the average bear, I was in the 'gifted and talented' things all through elementary, and 2 year advanced math/science after that, and in college i was in the engineering honors cluster due to my placement scores. I'm not claiming I'm more intelligent than everyone here, but just above average, and DEFINITELY above some dumbass who works at a GM factory.

Good for you Rob. I know lots of people who attended great colleges and are dissappointed with their lot in life. I know lots of pure idiots who graduated with honors from Universities too. I have worked with engineers who went to Michigan Tech, MIT, and UCLA. I have had to explain very basic mechanical principles to them. (No, they did not work for GM.) These people were pretty miserable. Single, lonely, and quite sad to talk to.
I myself have taken advanced engineering courses at the university level. Graduate classes while I was a undergrad. I have attended 4 colleges and universities. I took senior chemistry in my freshman year. AP Physics, AP English... just like you. Big whoop-tee-doo.
I love my job. I have great coworkers and a great wife and child. I am a member of a Christ-centered church that has great out reach into the community. More than I could ever ask for.
One thing I understand in life is that a person's quality of life is not how advanced their career is or how educated they are.
I have friends who never went to high schol building multi-million dollar houses. I have friends who went inot the military now working for IBM in their chip development research labs. They love their lives.
It's all a matter of how you view life and other people. If you think a college degree completes a person you have got a lot of growing up to do.
If you feel better comparing your self to me, thinking I am a "dumbass who works at a GM factory" and you are better than me, go ahead. I pity you. You are a sad little child in a man's body.
I don't think I am better than you. I really don't care what you think of me. But do keep up the "GM factory worker" stuff. It is a great job that I am proud to have. Hundreds of thousands of people wish they coulde work here. Me, I am glad I do.
