As you all probably know, the London Apple Store opens in a few weeks... how many of us are going to be there when it opens??
Who are the HARD CORE Apple fans...
Where are you going to be coming from?
How long are you willing to sit in the wonderful London weather!
What is the first thing you are going to buy?!?
Well...

When exactly does it open?
It might be a bit of a nightmare going on the first day - but I might. Hmmm lots of pubs around Regent's Street.

I don't think it's due to open until 20th November.
So there's time....
I might go.

MacFormat are running a competition find someone to camp out the night before and in return they will buy you a bundle of stuff.

If I'm going to camp outside a store they better be selling something good. No way in hell am I camping outside just for it to OPEN.
That's worse than camping in line for a movie. Which, unless they're only showing the movie once and burning the film, is... what's the word for it? Pathetic just isn't enough.
That's a 'no' of course, I'd visit the store if I was in town, but I'm not going all that way to look at stuff I can't afford.

If Microsoft opened a store, selling god knows what, would people camp out the night before?

Option 1 is not possible. No-one waiting outside the London store will be 'in line'. They will be 'in the queue'.

Why not pull a Mr. Bean? Set a sleeping bag on the sidewalk with pillows, an alarm clock, etc, make it look like you're sleeping.. and then get there nice and early to 'take over' hehe.
Heck I've got a tent in my garage waiting for me to use it. I'd camp out, if I wasn't on the other side of the planet!

That's the best place for you. Would you dress up as Link? Or maybe Clarus?

London AppleStore Opening - Who's going to be there?
Answer: Possibly a load of folks from Ars tec' forums
This is a clever move on Apple's part, it's during the London MacExpo (odd sites down at the moment?) Note: not an 'official' Apple Event.

My thoughts exactly...
I'm actually in London on business from the Thursday, so will probably pop in on the sat seeing as I'll be around.
