I've been trying to avoid this show, but I might get dragged into it.
I grew up in the 70's. Just the 2 shows I have watched, just brings back memories.

I bet that is why 95% of people watch the show. It is good looking guys and girls. That 80's show was butt ugly.

Actually there is only one good looking guy in it I believe.
The show is actually funny. But it has to do with a lot of 70s stuff that happened in the US. So it would makes sense that arm-chair Americans wouldn't get it.

Uh, I'm canadian and I am not missing any secret references. I've never heard of a hard-core american. Is that like a hard-core porn star?

Hard-core? I believe he said arm-chair Americans. In other words, Canadians who . . . . I'm not sure. . . . maybe Canadians that want to be . . . . maybe it's Canadians that . . . I give up.

You're right, she is hot. Too bad she didn't look like that on the show.

A 6ft tall red head who was all out hot, did it for me. Plus, come on, it was kinda funny. Especially if you live in the mid-west.

True.... but it got a little bit better when she let that hair down and started to look normal... but then the show got cancelled...
I just think the show sucked 'cause it tried to play too much on the 80's fads (fashion, the brick cell phones etc). Where's the 70's show still focuses on the characters.... And its actually funny sometimes.

It was actually quite funny the first years. I think they are running out of ideas now. But yeah, they did a good job on the characters, and you can tell that the actors are having a real good time.

That 80's Show suffered from the same problem every show by these producers have: the first season is so high concept that they force the situation down your throat at every opportunity. With That 70's Show, after all the "Ha ha, get it? It's the 70's so it's WACKY!" moments, the writers realized that they had a good set of characters that they could do just about anything with. That 80's Show had nowhere to go once the "Ha ha, get it?" moments were over.
That, and who the hell names their kids Chyler or Tinsley?!
