Well iTMS Canada will be hear within one month!

First what date do you predict for the launch of iTMS Canada, and second, Will you buy anything from the store, or will you stick to buying CD's and only grab the free stuff made available? Polls close Monday November 1, so you have 6 days to vote

I am personally never going to buy music from iTMS. CD's are cheaper then iTMS in Canada, along with being D.R.M. FREE. So why pay more for less?

the $15.00 cd certainly isn't cheaper if i only want the $1.00 single track. i might buy some stuff, but i tend to prefer the "non-hit" stuff so i will wait and see what they have and for how much. as for the launch date....makes no difference at all to me if it is the 1st or the 30th.

How can you say Cd's are cheaper than itms in Canada when the prices for the itms in Canada haven't even been announced? If it's 9.99 an album or .99 cents a song there's no way cd's would be cheaper.

I don't really care if its DRM I just want to buy the music I want. Its not like I'm going to be using a non-apple product to play it.

Hey adam, you're in winnipeg? What area?

I'm not holding my breath. Apple has been ignoring Canada for the longest time. Considering Canada is among the top most wired countries in the world (or was at least when iTMS came around) you'd have thought Canada would have made a good choice. $.99CDN per song would be a good deal. I may even consider getting a few tracks from the store if they have the songs I want. If the albums are $9.99 then ya that'd be a good price. I've seen some new CDs going for as cheap as $13 in stores.

Yeah. Why sell music when the people will steal it with impunity?

They better not get their hopes up though.

apple confirmed today that itunes canada *will* launch next month....no more *if* - so while holding your breath may still not be advisable there is no doubt that itunes is coming.

Most of the CD's I buy a under $10 Canadian. I buy mostly older stuff or best of albums. You won't be able to get me to spend a dime at the iTMS the quality sucks ass compared to CD's no questions asked.

I hate it when you stupid Canucks say that. YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH IT WILL COST.

And it's than, not "then." You can't even get the damn language right.

Couldn't you figure that out with "officially" spelled "ofiicially" wrong in the thread headline?

I voted for Tuesday November 9th, but I have real real idea. Just very happy for Canada, that they are getting iTMS.

Even though I don't own an iPod (yet) I'll certainly make use of the store. I like world & lounge music a lot, and if i can spare having to buy expensive compilations, and just pick out maybe 5-10 tracks a month that I really like, then I'll be all the better for it.

I'm looking forward to it!

You're right, though it's hardly even a word so I don't think that should count.

"Ain't" is in the dictionary; does that make it a word?

I never said "then" wasn't a word. What was your point again?

So is irregardless, and I'm sure a host of other nonstandard words. It doesn't bother me when people use the word ain't, but irregardless and misusing the word "loose" bugs the crap out of me.
