From a George W ad:

Not wanting to be political here, but I just thought it was amusing, since there wasn't really a good reason to doctor the photo.

But... commence the degeneration into a political thread... now.

Is the only way to win an election is to scare people into thinking they are under a constant threat?

Wouldn't it be awesome if we had a special place... somewhere on MacNN's forum for discussions that are politically related?

wouldn't it be awesome, if you could read the first post, especially that one part that says he thought it was amusing, not political?

Not a bad PS job, though. Too bad he used soldiers that were so close together. Should have used ones from the edge of the picture.

This isn't proof that Bush is a liar... you KNOW he didn't know about this. (not that anyone here has said so, but the article says that's what Dems are saying)

Yeah, pretty good PS job, if we ignore the fact it was cloned several times with the same guys next to each other. That's a lot to ignore though. They were in a rush I guess, or just lazy. If you're going to do it, you may as well do it right.

It also seems odd to have even bothered doing it, because the actual picture with the podium cropped out would have been OK. Indeed, that's what they are now using:

Maybe they just thought it was zoomed in a bit too much, and it's harder to get the flag crisp too at this level.

Maybe those were the soldiers with Kerry/Edwards signs.
