been checking my blood pressure in grocery stores and at a company health day and it has been high, which is freaking me out since i am only 25. my systolic has been up in the 150's & 140's - sometimes down to 120-130 and then up sometimes over 160? but usually in the 135-145 range. i have been reading online about controlling blood pressure which has helped change my eating habits and i have started to exercise again, stress about work probably plays a big roll with my bp. anyways i was just wondering if anyone has had to deal with this also, i know alot of people have high blood pressure, and alot don't even know it.

Keep in mind those things can be very inaccurate.

Things you can do to lower BP, and hopefully avoid meds:

Decrease your salt and caffeine intake.
Stop smoking.
Lose weight.
Exercise (aerobic).

Yep. Buy yourself one you can use at home if you are concerned. The home models are quite accurate now.

Oh, and go see your doctor.
