If you did - what did you make of it ?

For those of you who didn't, this was a live program broadcast from a variety of supposedly haunted locations, mostly in near total darkness using night vision cameras. The climax of the Haloween show was a seance in a house that quite frankly made the Blair Witch project look like Sesame Street ! The table moved, the glass moved all over, half the crew collapsed (hysteria probably), and the medium was possessed. People were genuinely very scared - that much was clear. But was there anything supernatural going on ?

I have my own theory as to what happened - what did you think ?

Superstitious nonsense, Fear of being hunted/eaten still dwells,

hmmmm - the wife was sure it was spiritural activity, i personally think it's rubbish. They were pushing that glass around the table! People fainting etc is just down to the scary experience getting the better of them.

amusingly, we were out driving in that area on Sunday and we saw the Medium 'Derek Acorah' in a carpark He gave us a wave when we shouted his name.

is good tv, no doubting that, but until i see something materialise, i aint believin the hype

Well, the last of the three shows was aired last night, and I must say I'm edging my opinion more towards something really happening here. There was more of the usual communing with spirits during which Derek came up with an impressive array of names - but granted nothing that couldn't be found through reading the history, and he did have problems getting the first name of the mistress. His 'acting' was good when possessed by Peg O'nell - if it was indeed acting.

in general I thought the feeling of the show was that they were backing off somewhat after the previous nights antics. Yvette looked like she was going to faint when Derek mentioned the Hell hound or whatever it was...

Derek an Yvette both saw an apparition on the river bank, but of course this wasn't caught on camera. It was impressive how suddenly and strongly he got the name of the highwayman, and right after saw the ghost.

But of course, the highlight was the mirror smashing incident. Now, for those of you who didn't see it here's what happened. The second medium, David, who for the last two shows had been safely in the studio rather smugly saying 'Yes, I felt the same thing when I was there earlier' - well, he finally went on site. He sat in the cellar, on whilst being filmed on the webcam attempted to use a mirror to scry the spirits. Apparently, you're supposed to be able to catch glimpses of faces, etc, in the mirror.

Anyway, he's there for 10-15 minutes and they keep checking up on him - he's obviously a bit perturbed, but want's to carry on. Suddenly all hell breaks loose. Up stairs, we're with Derek when he collapses, and as he's being dragged out of the room downstairs in the cellar the following happens on camera: David has put down the mirror and covered it with a cloth, and is communing with 'the highwayman'. There is a sudden BANG! on or under the table, David jumps, suddenly tenses and GROANS and under his breath says 'Who are you ?' twice, before suddenly and VIOLENTLY grabbing the mirror and smashing it on his forehead.

It was quite stunning (excuse the pun !). This guy came across as mild and gentle, and yet does this bizarre act if violent self harm. I find it hard to believe that it was intentional. He claimed later that he was communing with the highwayman (who'd asked him to cover the mirror), when from nowhere came the the spirit of one of the witches and took possession of him.

It was disturbing and compelling viewing. The best non-paranormal explanation I can come up with was that the guy was severely stressed in that situation, and had some kind of seizure. Very weird.

I honestly cannot engage myself in these shows as it all looks like a sham to me. I find it way too hard to believe something could even be real just because of the medium (TV not spooky medium) used. Video just doesn't connect with me anymore because I'm too used to distancing myself from it.

Let me say this: if it was real, the media, James Randi, Penn & Teller, and even the Pope himself would be all over this. Because they have it documented.

Unless. It. Was. Faked.
