ok i do no this should go in the iBook or powermac forum but i needed a quicker answer than i would get there.

my iBook HD is fried but i still want to be able to use VPC6 - the only one i have.

is there any way to boot my iBook off my G5 and be able to run VPC6?

If the hard drive is in fact fried there is no way you can boot the ibook from it or use the disk in firewire target disk mode. Depending on what the exact problem is data can be recovered but at a cost.

Imagine hitting a train in your car. Have that vision in your head?

Yeah, that's your iBook right now.
