Last time U2's "Beautiful Day" beat Elton John's "Tiny Dancer." Perhaps the demographic of our beloved Forum aims for the new music? Well, here's another stab. Yes, still mainstream, but hopefully a better fight.
REMEMBER - you are voting for a song, not the artist.

Man, this is incredible to me. I just don't think Beautiful Day is that good of a song at all. So far it has beaten "Tiny Dancer" -- often deteremined to be the best rock song ever. It is now beating "By the Way" which is a good song, not a great song. But still...Beautiful Day? The lyrics are hackneyed. It's unimaginitive with a decent melody but hardly Epic Rock level stuff.

Man. Given these choices, I would have to vote for the U2 song. You should pit it against Hotel California next week. Let's see how it stands up to that.

I voted U2 again.
Now if it was up against "Californication"... different story.

Or maybe a good Led Zeppelin song. But sure, Stairway works.

He's probably saying that the worst U2 song is better than the best RHCP song. To him at least.

I've never cared for "Beautiful Day," and I was tired of "By The Way" after the second time I heard it. So, I guess the latter wins.
