Gotcha; I hate how WinIE handles opening images in new windows.

Don't think it's as much CNN as it is Netscape. Funny, but I bet the dude loses his job once his bosses are alerted to this.

That is very funny. But someone should lose their job for it (or at least get stuck somewhere far away from computers).

Don't be stupid. That's still unprofessional. What if it was a photo of Kerry and it said pr1ck? Having an opinion is one thing, being stupid in the workplace is something else.

He should be promoted because he brings fun to a bloody boring environment. My comment had nothing to do with political preference. I would have laughed as well if it was a pic of Kerry.

Then he should go work for the Onion. It's not that it was about Bush that bothers me, it's just someone who's not doing their job.

NM. I should have read all the posts before replying with my question.

According to Netscape:

---------------------
Andrew Weinstein, a spokesman for Netscape, reiterated the fact CNN itself had nothing to do with the slur. He says the Netscape employee responsible has been fired.

"A junior employee at Netscape identified two election photos with image tags that used inappropriate, disparaging terms," Weinstein told WorldNetDaily. "As soon as the situation was discovered, it was immediately corrected, and the employee has been terminated."

I should also add that http://apple.netscape.com/apple.adp usually posts liberally biased headlines so something like this is not totally unexpected.

Well nobody posted what the file had been named, and I got to it after it had been renamed. Perhaps some of you should grow a brain before calling other people stupid.

I think it was just some 13$ an-hour online-department dude with some sense of humor who did it. Hardly something a CNN journo would do..
