I need to find a gift in the $20-50 price range for a 25 year old guy who is into technology. He has an iBook and works as tech support. I might head over to think geek and see what's available.

Any other ideas?

How about this Logitech cordless mouse to go with his iBook?

It comes in other colors as well. USD 39.95, though you might be able to find it cheaper. Linkage. And if you like the mouse idea but not the mouse, check this page out.

Get him a gift certificate of some sort. People that are into technology are usually pretty picky about what stuff they get (I should know, I am one!), so it's better to let your friend choose.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

I took a look at ThinkGeek, the following seem cool.. to me at least:

USB Webcam ($34.99) it's got a rigid/flexible cable.
A pocket ethernet cord ($13.99). I looked everywhere for one of these for my PowerBook. It's cool, it fits in my pocket, and lots of people in the comp.sci lab ask where i got it.
Cable Managemnt System ($34.99). I have a mess of cables under my desk, this would be cool.
Wi Fi Signal Locator ($29.99).
USB Fan ($16.99) This is just cool.
USB FlexLight ($15.99) Could be useful for lighting up his keyboard at night.

He just got engaged. I doubt his future wife would think highly of a strip club.

Oh, and his days of buying electronic gadgets are now almost over. I have to get him something electronic.

You have to decide how much of a geek he is:
1. the hardcore geek sits in front of the tv coding a new os and watching star trek reruns and when you enter the room he says hi in klingon
2. the moderate geek has linux on a seperate partition and prefers a terminal over a gui
3. the light geek knows a lot of terminal prompts but doesn't rely on it
4. the wanna-be geek thinks hes a geek but doesn't actually know that much about computers(if hes a tech I will assume this is not him)

Does the USB flash drive retract into the knife? It looks a little too big to fit.

Does he have an iPod? There are tons of add ons and other accessories in that price range.

Why would you get married to someone who wouldn't let you have fun? You better tell your friend to break it off.

If he doesn't already have one, I'd suggest a USB keychain drive. They're pretty cheap now.
