Face Invaders
Version 0.0.0.1
Ok, it's VERY early on right now, and there's a face in there because I haven't gotten around to making anything decent yet. No, "Face Invaders" is not the final name, it's a little "let's see if I can do this" project.
GBA development is fun.

You should have something like special levels, where you have to kill puppies and kitties.

Cool! I can't wait for the OS X port.
No seriously though, that is a very nifty little project. Mind posting details? Special libraries you had to use, etc... Actually, this may be a lame question, but how did you actually get the game code onto the GBA? I noticed on your blog that you've got the retro-styled GBA... nice. If I were to pick one up, that is definitely the one I would get.

It's very easy. Well, it's easy if you know how to solder . You need to make a LPT->GBA port cable and you NEED a PC to do it. No special libs, but again, you need a PC to do all the work. I don't think there's an OS X version that works nearly as well as the PC tools.
Do a search on "Gameboy advance programming" and the first link should get you started.

Right, but the PC way allows you to connect to the GBA without the need of a cart unless your game is going to be above a certain size.
