Make a long story short: I'm looking for Spanish 80s music and if anyone here from Spain or with knows what was hot in Spain back in the 80s please help!

All the Spanish websites I've found list foreign 80s pop, almost no Spanish.

For example this one: http://usuarios.lycos.es/juanjosete/las100.htm

Anyways. If you remember any good songs and artists, please tell me!

Any other information, websites or things about the artists would be much appreciated as well. Thanks!!
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

Hmm, there was a big Italian dance scene in the 80s (like Koto for instance, but I don't know much about Spain, sorry. You might try a search for Spain on the site I linked.

Check the "Hombres G", "Indochina".

Would you accept 80's pop music from Latin America and Mexico? (no idea if they are hot in Spain).

Y no entienden nada...

Alaska y Dinarama
Los Secretos
Mecano
Cadilac
Aviador Dro

Rock/duro/heavy:
Leño (very good)
Baron Rojo
Barricada
Rosendo (love it)

Para echarse unas risas:
Siniestro Total (estos gallegos son tremendos)
Ilegales (Asturianos muy buenos)
Semen up
Toreros muertos
Los resentidos

Cantautores:
Joaquin Sabina (nadie, repito nadie, escribe letras como las suyas)
Kiko Veneno

Gente nueva que vale la pena:
Dover (cantan en inglés)
Jarabe de Palo (really, really good)
Los Planetas (muy buenos, la gente que trabaja conmigo en USA les encanta)

Those just poped on my mind, I'll give it a try later.

Spanish rock music used to be so much better in the 80s and early 90s. Today it just stinks.

Molotov...they're mexicans and know how to kick some ass

I still remember their song "puto" in the '98 running of the bulls in Pamplona. It was amizing thousands of highly intoxicated guys singing like crazy. I had a good time have no doubts.

(I have to come back to Pamplona in July again...

Try this place, just sort by country and when you click on an artist the albums will be sorted by year so you can pick out the 80's.

That's no excuse, unless it's a PC keyboard.

Here's how to do the accents on a US-based Mac keyboard:

For the tilde over the n, type Option-n and then press n.

For the accents, type option-e, followed by the letter you want the accent over.

For the upside down exclamation mark and question mark, option-1 and option-/, respectively (those two I'm not sure about at the moment because I'm on a PC right now!)
