Me too. That was a rather racist comment. He's just a man in a suit but apparently his ethnicity makes him look like a theif (and you can't look like a "theive" so he must have meant "theif"). First let me appologize for bad spelling. I started using Firefox last night and as I said in another thread, I'm a horrible speller without the browser checking up on me.

But I disagree that you must have that image already to see when others are posting it. If I had seen it, I probably wouldn't have even posted. But it really seemed so off-base that I brought it up.

The only picture I could (and still can) see when I think of "latino thief" is the Count of Monte Cristo because Latino => Spanish speaking => the thieves in that movie were Spanish. That link in my mind that goes all the way across the Atlantic due to a fictional story is the closest I get to "latino thief".

Except there is significance in the fact that the speaker uses "Latino" instead of "man". You can note the significance without having otherwise thought it. Maybe there isn't a difference to me, but you wonder why there is a difference to him. Note these what I'm saying now is generic meaning I'm no longer talking specifically about ambush.

And for the record, I'm not trying to say I have no prejudices. I don't think it's possible to have none. I just try, on a conscious level, to keep them from affecting my decisions. (But as I said before, this particular one escaped me.)
