So I finally broke down and bought an xBox (at least, that's the way it should be spelled). I didn't want to wait any longer to play Halo 2, and I hadn't bought a console since my SNES when I was about 11. So the question is, have I some how damned myself for buying microsoft? I have almost entirely stayed away from them as much as possible. I use my windows machine at work for the only purpose that I can't do on my mac laptop - enter grades in a commercial program that only runs on windows. THe only other microsoft product that I've bought (to my knowledge) was VPC... but it made me feel ill and was so clunky that it wasn't even worth the effort.
Is the dark side calling?!?!?

Nothing wrong with the XBox, as I see it. I don't know why so many Mac users have a hissy fit about ANYTHING Microsoft. They do happen to make pretty good keyboards and mice, although I now prefer Logitech.
I want to get an XBox as well. Also for Halo 2 - it's an awesome game.

I know lots of Mac users that have MS stuff (whether it be a PC, an Xbox or other) and they don't care. Got an Xbox? Is it what you want? Good. If not get a PS2. Do you have to worry about what others think? In one word: no.

Jesus doesn't love you any more.
Either way just don't buy another game. That way you get rid of the money from M$'s pockets... you may redeem yourself slightly if you put Linux on it.
