I went to A&B Sound Surrey today, to get Ghostbusters soundtrack, but they couldn't find it, They said check out the 2 CD's for $25 shelf. The women helping me suggested two Dido CD's (Excellent love them), and Annie Lennox "Bare" Also like it, and I Am Sam.
Went to play I Am Sam, and the CD was garbled on track 17 and refused to import again. looked all over the CD case No sign what so ever of copy protection. Did a google search and yup you guessed it on the Do Not Buy List. In the morning I will be returning the C.P.D. (Fake CD) weather they like it or not (I will refuse the leave the store until they return it and will drive business away).
Normally I ask them to check the CD for Copy Protection but didn't this time. BIG MISTAKE. Also the CD when I went to open had previously been opened (it had the repackaged plastic on it). Seems someone already had returned it for the same reason.
They said when I bought the Annie Lennox CD to return it it must not be opened. I thought I had it (the cover looked the same to the MedUSA one). One way or another they will be taking the CD back in the morning, either politely or by force.

i think you mean "deceived."
and for someone that claims to "write" - your grammar, punctuation etc is right up there with your spelling.

Why are you asking "them" to check for Copy Protection? It's always right on the packaging, you can see it before you take it near the cash register.

He already said that it had been repackaged and there was nothing on it that said it was Copy Protected.

I am also legally blind and can't see the fine print etc.
I was able to exchange it, but they said it played fine on a copy protected Car deck, and that in Canada it is law that Copy Protected Discs be labeled as such. Making it like I was just wanting to return it becuase I didn't like it but copied it. They also said this CD didn't have copy protection since it was a newer CD. Anyone bought I Am Sam in Canada and can confirm that it doesn't have Copy Protection, and it was just the CD?
