I heard about this on NPR and it intrigued me:

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...toryId=3202088

There is a link to the broadcast segment at the top.
(Requires Real or WM9 - Ugh!)

To think that spies all over the world are sending and/or receiving messages broadcast over shortwave is unsettling and weird.

Listen to some of these clips and imaging coming across them while playing with your short wave radio in the middle of the night. Scary.

Good link with MP3s

What do you think?

I'm a bird. I am the 1% (of pets).

Yeah, I heard that report on the radio. Very cool. I think it's so cool the way they jazz up the recordings with freaky effects.
Do you want forgiveness or respect?

Read a book on this ages ago... very interesting stuff indeed!

I am intrigued by it all in all honesty, but half of the charm for me is that we will never know what they mean, and the stories behind them...

Spooky, and still going on to this day. Wish I had a SW radio, I don't think I've had one for years...
