How much does a 15" TiBook SD with computer and stock cardboard box and all the fixins weigh?

If not a 15" TiBook, how about a 15" AluBook?

I'm wondering how much it would cost me to ship the thing. ie. 15" PowerBook plus retail box, and then then packed inside another carboard box - would that be about 10 lbs? Or more?

About 15lbs, if I recall correctly. [Edit: I checked Amazon.com and it lists the shipping weight as 14lbs.]

Normally, a new unit is shipped only in the "suitcase" Apple box, but Apple puts a brown cardboard sleeve around it to keep the nice shiny box from getting scuffed (and to keep shipping labels off!). It is safe to ship the unit just in the suitcase box.

when i sent my powerbook (15" albook) back to apple in their box it said 10lbs on the box. so i would guess the retail box is a few pounds more. i would venture a guess at 15lbs.

I can't speak for powerbooks, but when I bought my iBook and my sister bought hers, Apple shipped it just in the iBook suitcase box.
