I still use one of those, in fact, for my G4 400 and as a second monitor for my PB17. The brightness is not much less than the PB, and after most likely thousands of hours of use, the backlight is as even as the day I took it out of the box. Definitely quality components, and for what I paid for it at the time, it was definitely worth the price.

At the time i purchased my G4 and the ASD, they didn't even have it in graphite, so I had to settle for the bondi blue one made for the earlier B&W G3's.

And yes, they did have the RCA/S-Video inputs including the composite red/white audio plugs with a standard 1/8" headphone out. I still sometimes hook up a console gaming system and play for a bit w/ headphones, it's great! I even had a busted VCR hooked up to it for a while and used it as TV.

The purple ones were the first run, they changed them to white later on when the G3 B&W came out.

And yes, they had RCA plugs.
