No.. it's for PC only at no charge. Meanwhile, I don't think the concept is good.

They say it is to prove the conspiracy theorists wrong.

I think there's better, more scientific ways to go about doing this than introducing your average PC gamer how to load and fire a blot action rifle at a presidential motorcade.

I'm not one to blame games for teen violence, but during the Campaign season this year, I ran across one of the most shocking statistics I had ever seen in my life. Political 'know it all' types, noticed extremely high interest in topics such as "What would happen if the incumbent was killed a week before voting". The age group asking these questions? 18-25.
I don't think we should be letting gamers, who [i]usually[i] fall into a similar age bracket, disprove an assasination plot. Politics has gotten so emotional that handing people a 'virtual president' to blow away is the LAST thing we need.

Yeah, 18-25 year olds that voted mostly voted against the incumbant. i.e. they wouldn't be upset if the incumbent was killed a week before voting. What's shocking about that?

This is the freakin' USA. If people want to play Grand Theft Auto, Deer Hunter, Halo, or whatever, good for them. It sounds like you're trying to take away people's Constitutional rights. I know that trying to do that's all the rage these days by those in power, but that's a topic for a different discussion. This isn't even about imposing your voice on others, but doing what you want to do in your own home.

And the Secret Service comes pouring out, helios drop in with rocket launchers... In a 2004 version maybe they dispatch F-16s.

I mean, I'd buy it if it allowed for multiple angles. One from the grassy knoll, and one from a sewer grate.

Sorta seems multiple angles are pretty important for a game like this.

It does, you get all the angles in all the major theories. According to the news this AM, you can shoot from the Book Depository, The Grassy Knoll, and you get angles like those available to all who filmed the motorcade, including Zapruder.
Still seems like a sick sick game to me. Trivialising Presidential Assainations is SICK, no matter WHAT your goal is.

Yup, games like Halo and Doom (FPS in other words) don't do as well in other parts of the world.

Absolutely, I remember once when the NRA came into my 1st grade class to show a demonstration on how to frag aliens effectively.

Would that be more or less sick than the trivialization of the Vietnam War or the Normandy Invasion? I don't recall anyone throwing their collective arms up in disgust when these games were released. So let me get this staight: it's okay to make a game of young men and women being slaughtered by the tens-of-thousands, but it's not okay to make a game of the assasination of one rich politician?
Personally, I'm more offended by the first two games.
Maybe if we wait long enough, LucasArts can give us 9/11 in stunning 3D realism and THX surround sound...

I don't think that's a huge deal in itself. Sure, I think this country has a problem with violence, but mere college-age curiosity always ventures into the morbid and scatological. Nothing wrong with that.
So what if it's Kennedy? Kennedy may or may not have been a great guy, but he's no more holy than the citizens on the streets we kill in GTA.
Don't speak ill of the dead? What if this was Hitler or Ivan the Terrible? Respect for Kennedy? That's a matter of personal opinion.
Trivialising Presidential Assainations is SICK, no matter WHAT your goal is.
And if it's our government's goal to assassinate anothers'?
