Its that time of year again
Time to do it on my Powerbook
I am going to burn all my pictures to CD...Maybe place it on my 20gig iPod....but my music is what I would like to ask about.

I would like to put it all on my iPod, format the computer and then be able to put it back to the powerbook. The reason I made this thread is the last time I tried this, I lost alot of my music and I would like to know what you guys use and trust to be able to pull music off the iPod

Also interested in knowing which of you guys went from Jaguar to Panther with the up to date program and if so, what is the smoothest way to do this format?

I'd be careful. The latest versions of iTunes does not play well at all with most of the extraction software out there.
Now, if you just drag your music folder to the iPod, then drag it back, it should be all right.

Not all extraction software places music straight into iTunes. If you use one that just saves the files to a given folder, like iPod Viewer, then you can use it without worrying about compabitility with iTunes 4.7.
