Well, just over a year ago I started going to spymac.com they seemed to have a good community and I real got along with quite a few of their users.

The they updated there system to "V3" and thus started the beginning of the end.

Now there is no community with the exception of a few users that are not ready to face the truth of things.

Spymac is now a great big SPAM ADD. Their focus is sales, not community. I get enough Spam in my email, thanks.

So as of today, spymac is removed as my home page, and my "Favs" tab set that I use to open all the sites I view each morning. (got to love tabbed browsing!!)

MacNN has always been in that tab set, and I visit here often, but have not participated in the forums all that much..

Any how, if you will take me back, I will try to be a helpful and active member of MacNN.

Cheers

Alex Duffield.

Welcome back. Although many will say this community is not what it used to be either. Personally, I'm still entertained enough around here to stick around so it doesn't matter to me.

I guess we'll take you back.

If you change your name and go by an alias, that is.

Welcome back. Just don't visit the lounge too much or the 13y/olds at SpyMac will suddenly seem mature.

I used my real name when I first came here. Since becoming more active in the Mac world I decided it was better to disconnect the person that wrote and the person that posted. Think only half a dozen people on here know who I am.

Welcome back

I used to visit Spymac sometimes, but after V3 the entire community fell apart. I'm not so sure it was V3, but rather the 1GB e-mail accounts for free that came at the same time.

Most of us don't go by our real names, but a few do.

See you around

P.S. Ryoko says "Hi" too. </stupid anime-sig reference>

It has changed here but enough folks remain so that you still get the essence of "MacNN". The newbies from 2002-2004 are becoming "addicted" now too so what used to be new is now old.
