Hey,

I have set up a few free sites I thought you all might like to see.

1 - Links Bin - Free website advertising, advertise your site for free. No requirements, just go on the site, sign up, and advertise your site for FREE. Remeber the more people that come onto the site and sign up, the more traffic you get to your site!!

2 - Planet Uploads - Upload images for free. Ever needed some webspace, but all these companies make you sign up? Well just come here and you can host any image you want (No porn, racism, or offensive stuff) We have tons of webspace and tons of bandwidth for you all to use. Once you have uploaded your image, you will see it at the bottom of the table and you can click it and give people that link to see your picture!!

3 - Downloads Forum - OK, I have just started this site so there are not many downloads on it yet. I have just reached 100 downloads today (04/12/04) but I am planning to have over 1000+++ useful, popular downloads these. We have tons of bandwidth, so don't worry about us running out of bandwidth, you are all free to come in a download ANY file you want. You just have to sign up!! Also if you want you can post your own downloads on there - no warez, no crack files, no serials, no porn, no offensive videos. But before you post please look at the other files to see how they are layed out and make your the same. You can just put the link to the file, or you can contact me (my e-mail can be found in my profile (DF-Craig) on the Downloads forum).

Please take a look at these sites and tell me what you think of them. I hope you decide to keep this post as I am offering free good services. Remeber... all sites have to start somewhere - they don't just get big automatically. So please contribute in the sites there that you want.

You will catch flack for being someone who just comes to any forum you find and creates an account just to advertise your stuff. While your services might be worthwhile, you are spamming it nevertheless.

Why come here and ask people to look at your websites and then criticize those very same people? The fact that you came back puts you at a higher standard than most spammers but for your second post you sure didn't make much effort to sound professional in any manner.

Yes, exactly, craig 123. If you want us to look at your sites without saying "YOUR SITE IS TEH SUCK!" you might want to be a bit... nice... if you could. Anyway, I agree a little with Peter, the upload site should perhaps operate a little more like photobucket www.photobucket.com because there if you upload something everyone can see it.

Regarding your links bin: most people hate ads, so why have a site where people advertise and that is all. People don't just sit around and read ads all day. I'm not going to think that next time I want a computer forum "hey, I'll go and search through the overloaded links bin for a few hours to find what i want. i love ads!" Perhaps introduce something interesting for viewers to do there.

The downloads forum was fabulous! Marvellous! I mean the wording is genius "Please register or login to see the forums!" I'll never forget that. If you want people to join your forum, and joining is a pain in the ass, you need to let them see what its all about and whether or not it's active.

Actually, good web sites do get big automatically by doing what they're suppose to do and doing it good, by word of mouth, etc. not by registering at other forums just to advertise it for free.

Probably it could not attract people with template websites. I would suggest you fill the sites with some unique and interesting original contents at the first stage, that makes it attractive before people could join it.

Think about it, list some reasons from a user perspective why people would join the site?

So what if you say it's active. Not everyone that might go to it is going to know it's active! They could just go... oh, and then close the window because there is nothing to tell them what it's about or how active it is. I believe there may be a setting in some forum software to let only the forum front page be viewed, but I may be wrong. , that was my point. You seem to know what you are doing so why not set up an account style thing. If I wanted to upload a pic of myself, for example, i wouldn't do it to your site, because people I don't want to see it are more likely to than if I put it onto photobucket.

Alright, i'm sorry for that. I have taken your uploader suggestion into hand and am gonna put a link on my main uploader to another uploader that I will run where you can sign up to use. So it is there choice wether to sign up or not.
