I think your question can be answered by many people here. There are quite a few who have XBoxes.

A Mac emulator running on a PIII 733 is going to be way too slow to use for anything!

it aint a emu, more of a flaw in the xbox system and people found ways to use/install mac/linux operating systems. I mean ur still installing the whole 10.3 cds.

EDIT: I guess its kinda an emu to install mac through peerpc...well I guess ill spend (ONLY $40) and find out

You must not know much about hardware. It's definitely emulation. PearPC is not the cause of it being emulation, it's the solution. It is the emulator. You are installing software written for PowerPC and running it on x86. This just wouldn't work without emulation. Yes, you are really installing Mac OS X, the real deal, onto that XBox hard drive. But for it to run, it still has to fake a PPC chip. And it's going to be very, very slow.

I think it runs a lot slower than that, even. But you're correct that it's possible but slow.

on another note, would just running linux be better than running a mac os on the xbox?

Yes, by a long shot. Linux wouldn't have to be emulated.

Wait for the XBox 2. It has a G5. If/when Linux is put on it, you can run Mac-on-Linux with little or no slowdown.
