The first time someone climbs the Shishapangma in winter, alone and without oxygen.... Simply amazing.

Good for them. As you said it takes a lot of skill and courage.

"Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never - in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense." Winston Churchill

It's both amazing and impressive.
<some witty quote that identifies my originality as a person except for the fact everyone else does the same thing>

Initially, I jumped your sh!t thinking MOS indicated that this was amazing. But upon further review (jus' like the NFL), I see that MOS indicated nothing, except what CD Hanks said, both amazing and impressive.

Nevermind. carry on.

Some call it amazing, others call it courage. Some people would call it stupid.

I mean its like jumping into a tank full of sharks after getting a large flesh wound. Sure, you could survive, but it'd be stupid to do it.

Its like the rock climber who got his arm stuck in some rocks last year, and then cut off his arm to get away. He'd been warned several times about climbing alone, had almost lost his life once before, and then when he loses his arm due to recklessness he's called a hero.

I'm not attacking these people, I'm just saying that we have a way of uplifting people who do really stupid and deadly things in our society.
