Anyone here purchase their clothes online? If so, where? I've just recently begun to look around, but have yet to find any really good stores.. If there's money to be saved and you're sure about sizing, why not?

Well, only at thinkgeek.com, and that's cause you can't find that in a store.

No, I'm tall and skinny so aside from t-shirts it would be impossible to know if the clothes would actually fit.

Yep, but only from retail stores where I know the sizes ahead of time.

I like shopping - sale shopping.

Down here in Florida we have this awesome store called Syms and they continually mark designer and brand name clothes down each week as time goes by.

So, yesterday we were able to buy a beautiful brand new Italian suit and have the slacks hemmed (they are unhemmed and they hem them for you) for $239. Original price? $1299. I love Syms.

YES -- mainly tshirts but also shirts.

eBay is your best friend (I even sold some Polos there!) even tho it can cost a lot, it's just so cool to shop on eBay...

e.g. I did search for Polos, urban outfitters, band tshirts (like metallica, interpol, ladytron... they're all there it's incredible)...

then there is like thinkgeek and jinx.com with their uber geek tshirts... you can hardly find them at physical stores...

so yeah, while I also do physical shopping, I do it a lot on internet also.

I have done a few times, for shoes from brands which I own already so know the sizing and a few t-shirts because I know most mediums fit me.
But I tend to go shopping and buy from stores, it's more fun and more likely to get a good fit, especially for trousers (pants) because I'm a weird size.

I do if I am aware of the brand and its sizes. Plus, Banana Republic has their shirts in medium tall online which is awesome. (I'm 6'3 155, so larges are too big and mediums too small). I say if you know the brand, buy online and save.

the only thing i'll buy online is sneakers (because they are pretty much standardized). everything else i like to 'feel' and try on before i buy...sizes really don't mean a lot anymore. i have clothes ranging from a 'medium' to a 'xl' and they all fit the same.

No, because I'm 6' 8" and need to try my clothes on first.

Yeah I bought quite a few things from gap.com. One of the pants didn't fit so I just returned it at the retail store. No hassles at all.

Gap/Banana/Old Navy have great instore return policies on online orders. That and the medium-tall sizes online-only make me a loyal online shopper.

Mostly band shirts online. I've been screwed out of eBay too many times to be a regular. I just got my Iced Earth this week from mastersofmetal.

Yes at gap.com, oldnavy.com and a few others mostly because stores don't stock smaller sizes anymore

Were you purchasing from reputable sellers? If so/if not, what happened?

The ********, for example, gave me a strike for not paying, when I sent him the money twice. And all the good rare stuff is worse in person and far more faded that they should be. I wanted to get a Hangar 18 shirt, but after looking t the picture, the collar had a nice chunk torn. Good thing I didn't pay $30 for that.

I buy a lot at llbean.com. They use the same sizing for everything, so once you know your size pants or shirt, you know you'll get the same size every time.

I have to touch and feel and see how much abuse the clothes can take. Also, I have broad shoulders and a large neck for a guy with a small waist, so I have to try stuff on usually.

yes. no need to deal with messed up displays, clothes on the floor, mangled/wrinkled, and worn by others to be returned to the shelf. stuff from gap come fresh n clean in the mail. if u order in store, there's no shipping charges. my brother works at the gap, so on friends n family days i go and grab stuff if i feel like my clothes is getting raggedy or there's something i reeeeally like. then if they dont have any in my size/color or in good condition, i have 'em order online.

eddie bauer is another place i ordered from .. "shrug" .... ymmv but its pretty convenient for the most part. it's waay easier if you know your size. i just hate shopping in general, and dealing with people in malls.
